Pharaoh's Palace — Macau

Last update: August 25, 2007

Pharaoh's Palace is a medium sized casino on the third floor of the Landmark Hotel. It is part of the large SJM (Stanley Ho) family of casinos. The Landmark is a large, elegant, and traditional hotel in the heart of the casino sector of the Macau Peninsula. I had a lunch there, which was very good.

The Pharaoh's Palace casino is part of the SJM (Stanley Ho) family of casinos. This one had an Egyptian theme, as evidenced by some decorations and statues, reminiscent of King Tut. Unlike most casinos it was required to get a player card to enter, so have your passport ready should you wish to enter this one. This was the first SJM casino I played at, and did a lot of note-taking in the process. After playing a few games, I noticed guards shadowing me wherever I went. Based on past experience, I figured the worst they could do was make me leave, so I went right on writing. Eventually I covered every game I intended and left uneventfully.
